BUY THIS CONVEYANCE!!!
Eighty-sixth in a series of classic vehicles, captured 9/21/08, at the beautiful Palos Verdes Concours d'Elegance, held annually at the beautiful Trump National Golf Club on the beautiful Palos Verdes Peninsula in overpopulated Southern California.
For more information on this event, see my posting for 9/28/08.
The Model T Depot Hack, so named because they ferried passengers to and from train depots -- akin to what we call a shuttle in today's parlance -- was also built by a number of outside suppliers. The Depot Hack is considered the forerunner of the Ford station wagon. I don't know the original price, probably well under $1,000, but my research indicates a renovated one sold recently for $10,000.
Thankx for popping in, and have a heck of a humongous hump day.

The wooden body is gorgeous...certainly the forerunner of the "Woddy". You've done a beautiful job photographing this oldie but goodie. I don't think I've ever seen the front spring arrangement like this before. Really a special vehicle.
You have a large heart my friend. You bring joys to several on this site. Cheer and mile mercies. A work of large In love. Sensational ((5++)) Tu as un grand coeur mon ami . Tu apportes joies à plusieurs sur ce site . Bravo et mile mercis . Un travail d'un grand Amoureux . Sensationnel ((5++))
I'm guessing they didn't use them much in serious weather, since it would blow/wash right through, unless there were add-on curtains for the sides...Still, it's a pretty vehicle, and I'm sure it was "all that" in its day! Wonderful captures, as always, Harry!
Love the wood! probably cheap on gas too!! Nice work as usual!
great pics!! I like the speedster myself. One of the first vehicles to have a solid steel front axle
Wow, that is an awesome car. Great collage Harry :)
Hey - I've got a much better idea!! Send it across the waters to Africa and we can use it as a game-viewing vehicle. It certainly resembles the modern day safari vehicles!!! Even the wooden body will fit in perfectly with the natural environment!!! Love one Harry... :)
The wooden body is fantastic.Wonderful work .
I could use my bus pass to ride on this.
super with the wood body
Fascinating to see wood and metal mixed for the design. Works so well. Very eye catchy.
I just love the real old ones...some fine shots Harry..
