Description

My son, Matthew, could not believe all the bright colors of yarn produced by Aunt Ada's goats!! It was all so soft & warm that he had to grab a bundle, too. I bought a burgundy sweater and my husband bought a wool hat to wear during this bitter weather! The hot selling item seems to be Mohair socks, but I didn't get those. Maybe next time. :-) Hope your Tuesday was super. Jodie Please visit my personal website...

I worked in a yarn shop years ago, and this brings back all those great memories. The colors, the feel, I loved working with all the different kinds of wool--this is a great foto!!

Oh what wonderful colors Jodie... I agree with Tara - your son better step aside when these crazy women storm the store. I just love all the colors. I captured an image of some colorful African beads a while ago and you have just inspired me to place it!!!!

Gosh, in high school and for the first years of my marriage, I would shop the yard shop as often as I went for groceries. I made all my own sweaters, vests, gloves, hats... you name it, I made it. Its what we girls did in a small town. We prided ourselves on our knitting and crochetting. Its been so many years since I was in a yarn shop...this really brings back great memories - and its a wonderfully warm and well done capture.

Matthew appears mesmerized by the huge assortment of colorful mohair yarn in this stellar indoor capture, Jodie. After it's all sold out, does that mean no mo hair?

I've already fav'd this, but didn't comment...the clarity is really quite beautiful, and you show, once again, how you think with the camera, feel with the camera, and create with the camera. The reddish color in Matthew's face, as well as the red of his lips, stand out beautifully with the light-violet of the yarn directly behind his face; and the brown of his hair melds with the lighter brown yarns behind it. Even his fatigue colors blend with the gray yarns around it (bottom of shot). His expression is really beautiful; and the rest of the yarns are clear as can be. (Nice blue-line for the frame too.) A very sensitive shot, as always.
