Description
A tribute to one of my favourite Dr Who stories of the 'classic' years, 'Genesis of the Daleks'
The Dalek models were obtained free from somewhere on the net. unfortunately there wasn't any documentation so I cannot credit the creator.
I modified them slightly and then did the texturing, using screen captures from the episode to get the colouring of the shell as accurate as possible.
These will always be the 'real' daleks for me :)

Cool work!!
yikes! (ducks behind sofa) ...are they gone yet? very nice work!
great scene!
brilliant DALEKS !
Nicely done Hew. I too like the older Daleks. There were more variations, less powerful but just as dangerous. You've made a great job on the textures. Have a happy and creative new year!
This is great. Like the way you got the original feel for the sci fi. Dr. Who is also my fav. Great Job!!!
Great scene, I really like the lighting. I'm not sure how a glorified dustbin manages to instil such fear after about 30 years but it still does :-D
Awesome image very well done!!
A really fantastic scene & artwork !!! Beautiful and very well done !!! 5*
That's an excellent recreation. The stark minimalism of the Kaled bunker and its tomblike sense of oppression was and is quite effective. The monotone Daleks look like they almost grew out of the walls - which is sort of true in this case. Genesis of the Daleks was the first Doctor Who story I ever watched and it is the one that got me hooked on the show. It was also a classic example of BBC cheekiness when it came to saving money. They re-used only one or two tight shots of the Dalek weapon in action (the blue beam effect) throughout the story.
Excellent!!!! Very evocative indeed. Love the Daleks. I think you model might be from Vanishing Point - I got one from somewhere like that.
First rate classic Dr. Who work!!! My wife and I really enjoy this series that has such an impressive scope of stories and enduring appeal!!!
Superb work. I started watching the newer Dr. Who series on Netflix recently. I recall one of the episodes featured the last Time Lord versus the last Dalek. It was an amazing episode ... 'course they all are. :-)
Great work... very well done!
Really good looking image. The Daleks always look at their best in dimly lit corridors. Very menacing and definitely not to be messed with.
