Description
A quick trial render.
Having a bit of trouble with seams on the dress texture, so still a WIP. However this is pretty much what I had in mind in my previously posted sketch.
This is a very distinctive Batik pattern (on the dress) and Batik in general is becoming very popular again here in Indonesia. The general style is called Parang and translating the brochure I have, it seems it was originally used by warriors, and signifies power and fortitude.
Beautiful inspirations like this are just one more reason why I like living here so much.
1. The Batik texture was hand painted by me from a tiny reference photo in a local magazine.
2. The skirt is a large deformed cone underneath, with Hongyu's classy dressy skirt on top.
3. The bodice is the free COR Shirt for V4 by EvilInnocence
4. The blouse is my old trusty free Bopper's Spring Outfit from Rendo.
Another thing I forgot to mention is the hair clip. It's called a "Sangul" in Indonesian. I hand-painted it , again from a tiny reference but I'd really like to get my hands on a decent photo of it as I think it is really representative of the craftmanship here.

Beautiful dress. Your own model or just the texture? I love batik :) But what I like the most in this image is still your character and her hair, she's gorgeous! I'd love to be able to paint and finish my 3D characters like this :)

Absolutely gorgeous for the dress seams make sure the actual texture is seamless before you apply it that should get rid of any stretching, I simple adore this though, its outstanding :) Angela
