Description
This is a shot of the beach where I spend so much time. It's looking thru the pampas north towards the dunes that lined the beach. I say "lined", past tense, be cause the dunes are gone. That monster surf I've been chasing wiped out 1000' of them, flooded the pasture to the right of the foto. I'm heading out there later today to see for myself the huge changes. Mother Nature has reclaimed her own--do NOT try to fool her!!

Beautiful scene and capture!!!
Great Pov through the Pampas, nothing more powerful than nature!
She can never be fooled, she is a power of unpresidented energy, what she says goes:)...Wonderful POV Maz!
Yes, it's not nice to fool her...love the POV here, and I'm looking forward to your shots of the new landscape!
beautiful !
super composition ...
if nature put the dunes there then she will put them back one day. ..cool shot
Stunning POV Marilyn. I love the color of the grass... And yeah - I agree - don't EVER think you can fool Mother Nature!!! Sad about the dunes though! :)
superb POV
People spend millions of dollars, if not billions, to try to contain Mother Nature. It proves to be expensive, and mostly impossible. Excellent image.
Absolutly gorgeous!!
I hope you can find the same spot again, and take another picture for comparison. This is a wonderful image!
full-resolution (full-view), the photo has beautiful detail. It's very peaceful, because it's just high grasses standing tall against a quiet landscape which nevertheless has a great deal of demonic energy waiting in the wings. Hard to imagine this same landscape can eat up whole tracts of land...The beauty & dignity of these old grasses is that they stand tall until they're literally felled; and for all their brittleness, they never flag. Their gold & partly dried stalks have a wonderful crispness and eloquence to them, and your shot captures them not all bunched together, but standing almost one by one so we see how eloquent they are. Simple, dignified and a bit mournful, your shot evokes a quiet dignity in the face of inevitable change.
Amazing that so much goes so quickly!
Beautiful shot and I do hope once you get back out there you take another shot so we can see what Mother Nature did.
Your perspective in this is wonderful and hope to see the next batch from this area!!!
Beautiful lighting you have captured. And at least you have this foto of the dunes since they are now gone.
Sad when the beaches get eroded
