Description
During our Senegal travel, we visited Savoigne, a little village near Saint-Louis in the North-West of the country. At Savoigne, a professional school called Saint-Blaise Statues produces many religious or profane figures. This workshop is led by Father Emmanuel Zanaboni, and counts some twenty boys, either Christian or Moslem. Each of the pupils is paid every month, but he must refund a part of his salary to his family. Click on the image to enjoy it better. All comments welcome. Merry Christmas to everybody!
Lors de notre voyage au Sénégal, nous avons visité Savoigne, petit village près de Saint-Louis (NW du pays). Savoigne a une école professionnelle appelée Saint-Blaise Statues. Celle-ci fabrique une vaste gamme de figurines religieuses et profanes. Elle est animée par le Père Emmanuel Zanaboni, et accueille une vingtaine de garçons, chrétiens ou musulmans. Un très beau souhait pour Noël avec toute la chaleur de l'Afrique. Cela nous réchauffe en vue des froids annoncés avec beaucoup de morgue par certains météorologues. Bonnes fête de Noël à vous deux et d'excellentes perspectives pour 2009.

Une crèche très émouvante...et si la couleur de peau de Jésus et de ses parents avaient été noires, la face du monde en aurait été changée certainement...Je te souhaite, Marie-Thérèse, une bonne et heureuse année 2009, avec tout ce que tu te souhaites à toi-même, pour tes projets, tes idéaux à réaliser, et surtout , une bonne santé.
