She was trained to do it. 3462 days and seven hours has it taken to prepair her for this very moment. Each sign of hestiation would have lead to consequences she did not want to think about. Failure, well failure was none to discuss. There was a price for everything. An hour earlier, she would have had laughed about the little discomforts it would cost her to be free, unbound to all social standarts, all these expectations that a woman had to fullfill. And she HAD enjoyed the hunt. The hide and seek and catch, finally... Now she did not feel like laughing anymore. She was told it would feel like nothing...but nothing was the last thing she could sense in herself now. Painfully clear, she became aware of the pityfull rest of life in the streets. Of the unlucky whore, cowering near the dark water, waiting for customers. The thief hiding behind a corner, the venally guard behind her, that had gladly overseen her appearance. She was aware of everything, so how could she feel NOTHING towards the one, who could not bring himself to liften his blade against her... She was sent to execute a traitor, but in the back of her mind, she realized, that the man on the roof was not the only one, who died today.
