oh mandi, I just love this. I just love it. It's the kind of image that hits right down deep inside, and I have no idea how to explain that. It just does. It truly does look like old filmstock, but it's wholly yours, I mean it's organic, your forms flow over the 'frames', you have head-like features (like a fish head or even a human head) and wonderful organic creatures swimming around and the wonderful way your outlines stand out above the cell-like fluid they rest on...I just love this. And your colors are just right. I wish works like these were wall size. On the other hand, they could be like the old Oriental Album Leaf pieces, intimate and precious and found in old scroll-books you take out and sit with and pour over. Wonderful, mmm. And a fav.

I always get the sensation that shapes in your images move and transmute themselves into some other shapes and this is what makes them so fascinating and unique, wonderful Mandi!!:-)

Excellent and a bit mystifying collage. I especially like how the individual segments seem to flow into each other. Wonderful work Mandi!

For me one of your bests - complex formal presentation, a strong vertical format and very interesting structures both the 'windows' and the fine lines.

To me, it does have that sense of a film projection getting stuck and burning or flicking in the light like they do - like a sort of discovery of something else that was recorded at the time but until now, unseen by human eye.

It reminds me of some treasure from an archealogical dig. As if a lost civilization had technology we didn't realize until now. Very pretty and intriguing.
