Sorry I've been absent lately. I'll try to catch up soon. I always appreciate your comments, emails, and support. I hope this is not too dark this time. I calibrated my Mac for Windows, so, I hope this is OK for most monitors. Let me know if it's too dark to see as I need to know.
I used Daz Studio and The Gimp. Free brushes (ghost of soldier and music) by Obsidian Dawn. I also used a couple of Ron's Winter Collection brushes for the ice and slush.

It's the most beautiful piece of work I've seen so far. I love the horse and the effects you did. It's fine.
It looks good on my monitor although some details, like the ghost solider in the background, are pretty easy to miss if you don't pay attention. Wonderful picture, very evocative. The composition here in particular is brilliant: it feels like the horse is moving along the lines of the music, you captured a certain sense of freedom and passion in the movement. Very well done!
A very magical and beautiful composition! Love it!
Cathy, it's awesome. The color is great on my pc, not too dark, yet dark enough that the mood comes across, a night scene, with ghostly music and heroes still marching on patrol. The horse gives it lovely motion, and perhaps it too is a ghost of earlier wars, when horses provided transportation. The brushes for the snow thrown up by the horses galloping hooves are a brilliant move, making it more realistic.
