Description
Hello !
Here the weather is so gray, so I thought about how it was in the summer. I found this image with a (what we here call) sand-whasp. Dont know what it is called in english.
Thank you for your kind comments to yesterdays post and special warm thanks to those who added it to favs. :)
I wish you all a wonderful sunday.
Severel of you sent kind wishes for my mom. Thank you so much.
She is ok, but not much more, but I guess that is what we could expect in a situation like this, with a lady at soon 96 years of age. I am not very happy in these days, as you can understand. I feel so helpless and hate to see her like that.

fantastic macro, helle.
A original wasp. Impressive colours. Hugs
Superb macro, Helle! Beautiful and cheerful colours as well. At least your mom is loved and cared for.
This is a wonderful macro. Sharp and clear.
a stunning macro helle, with the wasp's body looking almost like ceramic or glass. You even caught its bristles in the mid section; and its legs are like pure plastic or a dark porcelain...An amazing shot, you have an amazing eye for these things. It's a revelation to see an insect like this. My heart goes out to you, for your mom helle. I know it's very hard to watch her be unhappy. I wish her recovery & you peace of heart. I truly hope she gets better soon...many hugs...
Still wishing the best for your Mother, and yes, understandable at 96 things are going to be touch and go....great shot here and not sure if we have anything like him here....at least not in Florida :o) ( I don't think)
Your capture of this sand wasp is amazing and so summer. I’m not happy either the old lady my grandma is very loved.
Fabulous macro, and great background colour !
Many continuing good wishes for your mom and the family in a difficult time for all. Decisions are hard, as is watching the changes. Adjustments take time. Your macro is so interesting. Such a long tail (?) that I wonder about the mechanics of keeping it all in the appropriate attitude for flight. It looks like it would drag.
your macro shots are superb
