Description
A man goes up and lean against one of these man made concrete breakwater walls and let several waves pass by him. It seemed safe. He then calls his son to stand where he was so he could take a picture. A risky cat and mouse game but they got their picture. The rocks are not wet for nothing. Every now and then, a large wave will come crashing over. Aloha and thank you for viewing

Tourist maybe....we had tourist in the mountains of Colorado that did some very risky things.....nice capture!
Unfortunately that's how will loose beachgoer's every year to the sea. It's very beautiful to watch from a distance, but you gotta pay attention when your up close and personal. Kewl shot Sharky and some good advice~ Aloha!
It sure is crazy what folks will do for a photograph eh??? Looks like a snap & run situation... Dangerous & beautiful!!! Aloha... ;-)
Yeah, I had a friend stand there myself. Then, as the BIG wave came up, I told her to run.....And lucky she did. Hawaii may be a beautiful place to live, but we also have danger all around us. Aloha
Powerful and beautiful!
the games people play, and sometimes they lose--
The moment of nice shot easyly could turn to nightmare for life. I realy do like your compo with these hard blocks.
rogue waves are predicted this weekend on the upper California coast. Just a couple days ago 5 men were swept out to sea on one not that far from here - 3 died and 2 were rescued. I like your pov on this.
fantastic view!!! Great shot!
Excellent photo. Waves and rocks...risky indeed. Even a strong swimmer can be in trouble here. Bill
GREAT CAPTURE :)
Probably why you say never to turn your back to the water... Nice shot and POV~ =)
A most striking image! It does look risky.
I can see what you mean, my friend. That seventh wave always surprises even the timid soul 'paddling' at a seaside beach. There it is just their trousers / skirt that gets wet. Getting crashed / crushed by half a ton of water againt unyielding breakwaters, and then getting sucked back into the sea, is just plain silly, even for the average, my-brain-is-switched-off-till-Saturday, tourist .. ;o) Those of you who live on the islands, all year round, have to cope with hurricanes / typhoons as well. Not for you the luxury of scooting off on a jet, to relative safety. Warm regards, from an increasingly icy Glasgow, John.
Fantastic capture! :)
Beautiful capture. A "slippery when wet" warning sign would ruin the view, though.
Awesome Scene!!
We have had people doing that on our breakwater here too and there have been casulties. It is amazing what risks people take with their lives.
oh I would not go near and stand on those.. no way... they were lucky to get away with no harm
I like this composition!
loveing on the wild side can get you killed but most time people are just dumb and do not know the dangers. cool shot
someone posted a picture before with these huge jack/ball looking things.people will be foolish no matter the danger.excellent shot
Nice capture!
Nice pic.
Very risky indeed (and stupid !)
Excellent informations !! Very nice capture !!! 5******* Hugs:)
and the scene also looks risky, the strong concrete against the foaming wild water! the soft clouds complete the scene! ;o)
Home Sweet Home ..... beautiful pic
thrilling shot! amazing capture! very well done!
