Description
BUY THIS CAR!!!
Fifty-first in a series of classic vehicles, captured 9/21/08, at the beautiful Palos Verdes Concours d'Elegance, held annually at the beautiful Trump National Golf Club on the beautiful Palos Verdes Peninsula in overpopulated Southern California.
For more information on this event, see my posting for 9/28/08.
If you've been getting bored and nodding off looking at the many beautiful autos in this series, then this should have you sit up and take notice.
And, if you're seeking detailed information on this leviathan, be my guest and try Googling it.
I like the hefty boiler plate aura about this macho beauty, right down to the rivets.
Because of the late morning overcast lighting conditions at the time, I'm not too happy with the way the bottom picture came out. Even postwork was somewhat futile. I could have returned later after the sun emerged for more shots, but by then there were swarms of people surrounding the auto -- like bees to honey.
But, on the other hand, people in the photos give a comparative relation to the size of the monster.
Thankx loadz for clicking on this Sunday.

Wow, it really is massive! I can't imagine it really went too fast, despite the name. It looks much as if a tractor had an illicit affair with a Jaguar and produced this offspring; and look at the size of those wheels! This is one I've never heard of...
Hardly looks that old. the chain drive gives it away. Maybe it has an airplane engine.
Built on a fire truck chassis, no wonder it's huge.
Boy...if you owned this you'd never be able to sneak around town unnoticed. Imagine leaving it in a Walmart parking lot? Well done Harry. Bill
This is awesome!! looks like something out of a cartoon. Very cool!! I really like the last picture a lot. I dont know if its the angle or the lighting or what but it really catches my eye.
Na this is one hell of the mean machine. Cacthy color but what a personality. Makes me wonder how good is a outlooking from this "car" and Harry how did you not to get a close up of the skull hood ornament...lol.
Wow! Never have I seen anything like this. Incredible. Aloha
Look at the size of that puppy! It is huge!!! Must have been that time's equivalent of a "monster truck"... hehehe... Great captures Harry and yeah - smetimes there is just nothing you can do about bad light conditions. Sorry I have been so scare - a combo of no laptop and plain laziness!!! :)
Facinating!
Hi Harry :) Still enjoying them fancy cars I see. :)
WOWWWW wonderful !
Fabulous shot, interesting to see the chain drive huh? Looks like this baby was built to last!
