Description
The American Women's Bar has put Michaels's bike behind a fence to show solidarity with the Viet Cong Women's Liberation Front. All American women have been summoned to participate in the great victory of peace and harmony. Michael feels honored to be chosen as a target for a universal revenge. How he has survived for 33 years is a story no one wants to hear. Agility and respect for civil authority is how he would summarize.

The depth is between the top of the "fence" and the upper edge of the image. End of paradigm--which is not the same thing, necessarily, as a shift. Incidentally the word, paradeigma, means "example" or "model" in ancient Greek and is also later applied to a set of forms that evince the pattern through various numbers, tenses, persons, voices, and moods for this or that conjugation of verbs. Likewise with the cases of various declensions of nouns. Masanobu Tsuji, Earl Warren. Anything quick and superficial misses the point, and the pattern. So too mindlessly ethnocentric grunts, however engineered or to whatever purpose, and no matter the flag being waved.
