Description
As I was working the other day in that overgrown garden, I spotted this old piece of plywood leaning against the wall. It was covered with moss and lichen and there was just something quite appealing about it.

Awesome Image!!
Almost looks like a painting of flowers. Interesting art on this plywood. Excellent. Aloha
Natures art, how delightful!!!!
Do you know that song by New Riders of the Purple Sage? This is great ... it reminds me of Monet's water lily paintings. Gorgeous!
Very well seen and captured! Cheers, Clive
This photo of it is fabulous but I don't think in person it would be quite so appealing. Ick...moldy plywood. :-)

Love the textures and colours in this Marilyn :o) Mick
Excellent textures Maz, I like this shot a lot!!!
I was thinking the same as Tara, and Monet's water lilies, you should put it up for auction on eBay Marylin, I'm sure the old lady would share with you. #;0) It really is an excellent abstract, and if it was a painting would be worth a fortune, you could do a limited edition print off this. Superb find, capture and great texture, a very interesting shot. Same as PJ though, nice to look at the picture not too sure of the real thing. Bravo!!!!!
It is indeed very pretty!
Looks like a painting! Well seen!

That's what was ordered right before the St. Valentine's Day Massacre.
yes! Monet's Water Lilies, I agree...well I'm a great fan of organic decay, because it's nothing but life in 'other' forms, and it's incredibly vibrant & powerful. A wonderful shot, very active, and it could be so many things in addition to wood, it shows how broad decay really is. One of the signs that one is a true photographer is that they see so many worlds in a single location: To many, this would be a 'mere garden', but to you, it's a whole universe. I love your love of vision, and this is a wonderful shot...
There have been references already made to Monet's water lillies and I completely agree with that, but there is an element to this image that also reminds me of something Japanese. There is a vibrant and impressionistic quality to this that works perfectly. I love this piece!
Dang, I'd pay for that piece of old plywood. Beautiful what has grown upon it and made it a work of art.
well spottet and shot...it has a special quality with this amazing colors of the moss and lichen and yes Monet is coming to my mind too...smile
