Dusty Outside
Afraid to walk
The streets are cold
Beady eyes lurk the nights
Knowing there around
Here and there a grab
Behind and back a stab
All sides around
Nowhere to run
But fall hope a hand
Hide not an option
As me tears are healing tools
The tender moments sought
As life grows love in the distance
Stares inside a need
Come and hold me baby
A gentle soul who feels
Look and see and listen
Might not be it seems
They way it wants to look
Inside really knows
The way it wants to see
Outside whispers go

Oh, I so understand this and your image echoes your words
I like adventure and role playing games on my pc, I haven't played any for quite a while but this reminds me of a scene in one of them. Inside a flooded temple, even the colour of it is pretty close.
