Description
Forty-sixth in a series of classic vehicles, captured 9/21/08, at the beautiful Palos Verdes Concours d'Elegance, held annually at the beautiful Trump National Golf Club on the beautiful Palos Verdes Peninsula in overpopulated Southern California.

Just taking a very brief respite from my every day postings of beautiful pristine classic automobiles to present a few shots of the general show ambiance, with its well behaved attendees milling about, although this in turn presented difficult obstacles for the serious photographer to take a perfect point of view and unobstructed image of the main subject matter. Patience and tolerance were the underlying themes of the exercise.
Hence, even though the event, situated in a beautiful affluent area, was fun and exciting, taking pictures wasn't an easy walk in the park either. To put it in a different way, doing a popular auto show isn't exactly like taking a macro of a rose in your backyard garden.
A zoom view is mandatory to really bring out the crowd and details.
Incidentally, the third photo depicts the vendor portion of the show, including wine tasting. The fourth photo is a long distance shot of the General Motors display, with the Pacific Ocean as a backdrop.

Great photos. I miss my days of going to car shows and seeing beautiful cars and the women that pose half naked with them. I miss the sights, the smells, and the interesting people who love there cars more than anything. Thank you for reminding me of how much I love the car show seen. I plan to go to some next spring/summer.

Quite a turn out they got. Considering the awesome cars and scenery you have been showing us of this car show, can't really blame them.
