Description

I took this on October 19, or about three weeks ago, in the Endless Mountains of northeast Pennsylvania. We missed the peak of the fall color, but I loved the way these Beech trees looked; their greens and yellows were vibrant. Update on yesterday's Bushkill Falls upload. Several people wondered about having to pay to see a waterfall. Here's the reply I sent to the person who asked in an email: "Bushkill Falls is a purely commercial venture. I assume it’s on private land, so they’ve turned it into a tourist attraction. They don’t have 100 waterfalls within a 100 mile radius, so they’re capitalizing on what they do have. This is very pretty, indeed. I can almost hear the leaves crunching under your feet as you walked. You may have missed the peak of the colors but one would never know it from the beauty here.

Looks like a perfect place for a walk. Lovely! I didn't think about the falls being on private land. (!) We live in a different world, my friend!

At least you can get access even if its for a fee. We have some beautiful streams and small falls around us and they are on private land with big signs that tell you if you try to get close enough to enjoy the view, you will be shot. This is a comfortable lane you've captured with nice soothing colors and pov.
