Description
This is from a few months ago. It's part of The Avenue Of Giants**, the old road that goes thru some of the most amazing old growth redwood forests. This looks to the south, though it doesn't show the really big trees. Here's a link to another shot I took that day.

OHH! Calm and beautyful after all the scary stuff. Wonderful stuff.
Look out! There's a logging truck right behind you. Only kidding, but those big trucks out your way are kind of scary, particularly on a narrow, two lane road. This is a neat capture...green and sunny with an excellent POV. And I like the fact that you linked us back to a good picture of you, your dog buddy and a "baby" giant redwood tree. Bill
nicely done mo ^^
I Love roads like this where the trees are so large and old that they drap a canopy over the road with little spots of sunlight shining through!!!
nice depth and perspective, nice shot, well composed
Well seen, great shot! Congrats!*****
This just screams Americana to me, any minute now I expect a black trans am with the bandit at the helm, followed by the snowman and his truckload of coors, then followed by Buford T Justice..LOL, Great capture Marilyn, good perspective here!
super capture my friend
This part of the road looks just like our 'New Forest' roads.
Nice capture!
Wonderful capture, Excellent well done..
And it's a great motorcycle road also....
Beautiful leafy avenue; makes a great photo!
Oh yeah! Nothing like moving on down a two lane road and enjoying the view.
Now that the Wenona drive through tree has fallen I have no more gall in me.
The road to nowhere. Love perspective shots like this. Stark contrasting light/dark effects in this fine capture, Marilyn!
this would be a cool road to walk down wonderful capture warm hug, Linda
wonderful shot here
Beautiful country, I went and looked at the other sites, those trees are huge. I've never seen one except in pictures. When I was in california I had hoped I would make it to see them but I didn't...thank you for sharing.
