Description
This shot was probably taken less than halfway up the 199 steps up to the Abbey. JeffG7BRJ couldn't attempt the steps so I took a shot of the view with him in the picture. He is stood outside the door of the pale green house centre of picture.
Jeff hasn't been in good health the last couple of days. He left a comment on two days ago on one of my uploads saying he felt very unwell. Hope you are feeling better mate!
For most of my shots I changed my camera settings from JPEG format to RAW.
This was Just one RAW image processed in Photomatix as was yesterdays shot Whitby Abby 2.
Hope Shari and Marilyn both had a great BIRTHDAY.

wonderful !
Ah I remember those steps! Isn't there a nice fish and chip shop around there somewhere too? :-) Great photo.
Merlin - There is a very popular Fish and Chip Restaurant called The Magpie where people queue outside to get a table, all the afternoon we were there the queue never got any smaller. We did have good Fish and chips but at a different Chippy!
great capture...superb pov
Wonderful compo with great tones and colors.
Great color and crispness throughout the depth of field. Like the effect of your post work even though I don't understand how it has all been done :-) Bill
You have graduated at the HDR technique now Alan mate great shot and treatment, shame about those bloody signs, I hate signs :)...Raw will always give the better result mate!

Done so well it makes me dizzy! Awesome view, fabulous shot.

Fantastic!!!
Beautiful place and fantastic work.
Excellent POV Alan!!! I sincerely hope they have cranes to hoist up old people like myself!!! I am completely out of breath just looking at those stairs. I love this image... :)
What a fantastic view. It looks like such a wonderful place. Excellent shot. My best wishes for Jeff.
SUPERB! I've never seen this view before although my Mum was a regular visitor to Whitby and took loads of Box Brownie shots everywhere she went! Great result, although like Bill I don't know about RAW (and probably can't be bothered.) I'll leave that stuff to you experts!
Excellent POV with this railing leading the way into the frame... great photo.
