Description
Believe it or not, the green plant being supported so easily by these one hundred year old steam engine wheels is a very hearty and healthy tomato plant. At first I thought it was a weed. But no, ...the tough stem comes right up through the crushed stone walk way next to the engine (see the foreground at the bottom of this image).
It deserved recognition. So, here it is!

Awesome shot.... You've nicely captured the detail.....
LOL... well seen and captured Bill. Lovely image... :)
Tommies will grow anywhere eh?...Nice shot Bill, I like the stark black of the old ironhorse against mother natures garden.
I hope you popped back and picked them!
I really like this shot.
The composition is superb.. lighting and subjet.. Excellent. Hugs
Great shot. Contrast and colors are well captured. The "wheels" sure show the power of the Locomotive. Well done.
Great find! And a nice shot of these two coexisting opposites!
Life certainly is tenacious. Excellent shot.
fascinating find! I'm always interested how things manage to grow in hostile places such as somewhere as bleak as a rock face or the top of a chimney!
Tomatoes volunteer in the craziest places!! Great shot!!
Love this image-tomato plant and wheels Bill!
Nice old steam possible an X-6-X? Love Apples??
Somebody must take the time to water it...great POV here..

Wonderful capture Bill, strange place to grow tomatoes LOL, excellent well done..
Superb shot! Great composition.
very persistent tomato plant.nature reclaims what is hers.
that's a sturdy trellis for a plant, until it starts moving... but worry not, this giant got stuck here for a long time. great shot!
First rule of good photography...observation.Well spotted, great contrast in colour and substance.Super image, thanks Bill.(Project VF-74 progressing well)
This just reminded me of my tomato plants I've been trying to grow. For some reason, they just wilted away and died. Your capture here seems like these plants can stand the elements of a freight train, lol. Excellent shot. Aloha
Well they won't go hungry...LOL....wonderful capture and I love that train!
lol..what a wonderful find and shot, Bill.
Great photo! Looks like a very powerful engine being tamed by the even more powerful force Mother Nature.
Awesome effect in this shot of those mean-looking wheels. The mechanisms really gives the impression of being quite heavy and unforgiving.
Excellent shot....the kind of odd shot that I like to take!
Excellent work!
