Description
I was visiting the Sri Srinivasa Perumal Temple on Serangoon Road, Little India, Singapore when I saw a group of women in beautiful gowns inside this temple. One young woman in particular was not only wearing a beautiful dress, she also wore heavy gold ornaments. While I was standing there, admiring from afar I became aware that I was being watched. A middle-aged gentlemen in a business suit was watching me. He was the father of the young woman with the gold ornaments and I took this picture of her with his permission. This young woman was getting married.
This picture was taken in January 1996 and later scanned.

The culture does not matter when it comes to brides. They are all in elegant costumes for the special day! This is a wonderful compare and contrast photo for our culture.
