Description
The throne and statue of Egypt's god Osiris are a new creation of mine. I followed pictures from The Egyptian Book Of The Dead to get Osiris has close to the ancient wall paintings in Egypt's ancient temples as I could. The headpiece, crook and frail plus his wrappings all made by me.Also created all the textures for figure, throne and crook and frail. Yhe fabulous background is again Deb's Egyptian Temple room as are the fabulous textures, be sure and check out her store here at Renderosity!Check out her site at:http://www.castledevgroup.com/ Thanks Deb and Crew! It's very good; I love the egyptian stuff; I think it is Anubis that had the dog's head....
Yes Anubis is the God of Death and had a jackal's head. But Osiris was also known as the God of Death to. Osiris is always depicted wrapped in mummy wrappings from about the neck down, only the face and hands are left bare. Sometimes depicted sitting sometimes standing and even sometimes with green skin. Which depicts him as the God of all growing things and fertility. As far as pics go this is an excellent representation of Osiris. I think she did a great job on building him and all the egyptian stuff is great too. Good work!
This image is gorgeous! And, I never thought I would be learning so much about Egypt, it's history, and the dieties. Great work! You Egyptian dieties are just stunning! Can't wait to see more!!
