Description
Here is a new type of cutaway done for Starship Inquiry. It cuts right along the hull centerline. Creating this images was more work than I anticipated. Many meshes and Nurbs objects needed to be exploded to get the effect I wanted. To get a sense of scale, look for the human figures shown inside the observation domes. All smallcraft seen in this image were made by fellow Renderosity artist rj001.

Well thought up and professionally presented
Excellent job! Cutaways are great fun and look very nice -- but I agree they are lots of work.
Wow! thats what I haven't tried yet, cutaways. Looks good David
AMAZING details!!! David
Very nice work. Good adaptation of traditional cutaway conventions to a science fiction vessel. Those people in the Observatory Dome are hard to make out, at first. Scale on very large objects is a challenge to establish.
Another excellent ship David, your work also inspires quite a few here and on the net and gives a very positive view of what the future could bring. Excellent cut away view of the interior…………keep them coming!!! Cheers, David
I love cutaways and this one rocks!
