Description
This small vessel is designed to take small parties of sportsmen (and ladies..., sportswomen just doesn't sound right) out for close-in, offshore fishing.
Some of you indicated you would rather not stand on wet, slippery rocks with waves breaking in your face. This boat provides the alternative. You charter a boat like this for a half day...head for the areas where Bass and Blues are running...wait for the surfcasters to show activity...then race in and cast into the same feeding frenzy...but you do it from the ocean side rather than the shore. Not a bad idea. You just pay a little more :-)
Hope you find this series of Montauk boats interesting. Think I've got a few more that look pretty fair.
Thanks for your comments.
Bill
P.S. The morning boat departs before sunrise. Got your alarm clock?

Fantastic capture.
Barnacle Bill, You done good there, Sir. No glare or reflections on the windows and good color saturation... Departs before sunrise....Haa... Think I'll go to the fish market and meet you when the boat comes in. Skipper62
Love the colors in this, and a great, crisp capture, too. I would set my alarm clock and even be there on time for the bass and blues. And you know me - that's saying a lot :)
Crisp photo, as others mention. Best of all, it looks to be near high tide.

Cool capture!
Great capture! In Jersey they used to go a couple miles offshore for several hours and it wasn't unusual that they came back and everybody was sick from the swell!
The reflection of light on the hulls are great. I love the pov that takes in so much at one time. Great shot.
Ocean fishing is great if you have the stomach for it...no such luck here...
Great shot. That would be a wonderful excursion. I'd love to go.
Wonderful capture Bill, Excellent well done..
Nice work. I like the framing with the posts!
Yes, sunrise would not be a problem for me and this would be preferable to the wet slippery rocks :) Great shot Bill that would make a fantastic picture postcard.
Great story! i'll just watch you all from the shore!
Lovely capture!
Great image Bill.I love wandering around Mariners checking out the boats.Given the number of small craft in the background, I think weekend boating is a popular passtime in this neck of the woods.
Top image again, Bill! Done the offshore fishing thing myself. So far offshore, in fact, you couldn't see the shore!!! Caught one Mackerel! Think I'll look at you great pictures instead, now! Rob.
Before sunrise? What's that? LOL....think I'll take my chances on the waves splashing in my face....
wow such a fine shot!
