So, I get this call at work from two of my children crying because they're heart-broken. It seems next door is an abandoned kitten crying, crying, all day. "Daddy, we have to save it." "No. We can't rescue all the kittens in the universe (a real tough guy, huh?)." "But we've already found someone who will take it," they say. I know who they're referring to. Well, there WAS a rancher woman friend of ours who said she'd take all the kittens we could throw at her, because they keep her barn free of vermin. I say, "If Mary will agree to take it, we'll rescue it, and, when we get it in good health, we'll take the kitten out there." During this narrative, did you notice me ever refer to kittenS, plural? No? That's because I was led to believe it was one kitten. In reality, there are four. They were six days old. We had to tube-feed them and then feed them with a syringe. Cute? Yes. Are we tired after feedings every four hours around the clock? Um, yep. I'm shot, but my wife is even more so. We're getting too old for this. :) Anyway, these are great kittens. If you're in southeastern New Mexico, come and get 'em. They're four weeks old and getting playful. Hope you enjoy the photo. John
