Description
Two weeks ago, I posted a photo of the famous sunrise over the mogotes at Vinales, west of Cuba (some 20 miles north of Pinar del Rio). But because it was a very decorative scene, I had the idea to try some postwork on it. For sure, in that field as in many others, I am an apprentice-sorcerer! Nevertheless perhaps you can enjoy the modified picture too… Or suggest better solutions! All comments welcome.

Techdata: This "painting" is a superimposition of three images modified by Photoshop Filters: Dry Brush, Palette Knife (60 percent opacity in Normal Mode), and Bas-Relief (60% Opacity in Overlay Mode). I corrected the latter one by a Levels Adjustment Layer acting only on the Bas-Relief Layer. This was done in Photoshop CS3 Extended, but you can do exactly the same thing with Photoshop 6, 7, CS, CS2 and CS4 as well.

Very very nice painting!!! Hug's Ute
Very nicely done and it comes across as a very desireable painting. I love the postworking techniques...
SUPERBE
Beautiful scenery and light, the postwork is a bit too uniform just as photoshop can do for any image.
This is very beautiful. Looks like watercolor painting :)
Very nicely done!
Very nice work!
Fantastic paint. Looks like photography with a blur.
Now it looks like a well painted oil. Bravo!
Je préfère la version originale... amha!
do look like a painting. Remind me of Remington paintings with the colors and all.
Je pense que le style et la lumière de la photo originale se prêtait bien à une transformation en peinture. L’effet reste subtil. Très joli!
This makes a lovely digital painting. I like the unusual color combination and large shapes. Well done.
Excellents composition and concept !
wow!! this is really nice it looks like a painting to me..great work
Cool, je trouve cela très joli !!
J'aime ton sens créatif: un très joli tableau! Amicalement, Lior
Cool postwork. Well done. 5+
It looks like a painting! An example of professional postwork! Without original photo it's difficult to believe that it's not painting! 5 the highest. And thank for techdata - it's interesting to know, how did you do that.
Nice painting effect, very artsy, lol.
great post work, it looks so much like a expressionism paint.
La manipulation est si énorme que j'ai d'abord cru voir un graphisme. Une invitation au voyage... à Cuba, c'est certain ! je suis très tenté.
thanx for sharing your way on how you did this lovely artwork....excellent result, congrats!
