Description
Rooivalk is Afrikaans for "Red Kestrel"
The Rooivalk project began in early 1984 under the auspices of the Atlas Aircraft Corporation, a predecessor of Denel Aviation. South African Defence Force recognised the need for a dedicated attack helicopter and accordingly set along the process of developing a suitable aircraft.

Very clear capture and a challenge indeed as one has only seconds to fumble.
Very nice. Crisp, excellent image.
Another great image. Never seen this one before either AND it goes to prove that at least you have an Aircraft industry left! Well done on another fab photo, mate! Rob.
Great capture of this. I have not seen this helecoper before. I like the shape and painting pattern.
I have several pics of this helo in my archives. It looks a lot like the Eurocopter A38 Tiger. Is it based on this design?
at first sight I thought it was a Russian Mi-24 manufactured in my home town, Rostov-na-Donu. wonderful capture, Clive!
