Description
Gothic-style gabled and lanterned memorial. Apparently constructed of Bath stone, this has badly weathered in recent years and much of the memorial is incomplete. It requires extensive reconstruction.

Interesting effect, unfortunately the reading path leads my eye straight to the artefacts at the top of the spire - but a very cool concept
Crumbling is the word that comes to mind. Like your postwork...it adds a sense of other worldliness to this old memorial. Bill
Angels make choices about dwelling places. They favor the poor as champions and the wealthy as benefactors.
wow its huge!! great treatment on this memorial
Awesome! I immediately recognized the front top design in the shape of the Oak leaf , which was a Pantheistic pagan symbol that followed into the Gothic architecture designs from the Normon bloodline. All descending from the early Sumerian cultures. neat!!!
Wonderful capture David, it is falling to bits, extensive is the right choice of words here, great post work my friend.
Wow, looks kind of rough, excellent capture!!!!!!!!!!!
Nice shot (especially considering the contortions you went through to take it :-)) and the interesting postwork is in keeping with the subject.
Another one for this months challenge David? One of mine was from a grave yard as well. Excellent capture and postwork. Bravo!!!!!
interesting capture and postwork - gives it a kind of aged feel
We can only hope that this magnificent memorial will be fully restored. Wonderful shot, dear David. Hugs. Spider. xx
