Description
At the moment I am just doping things to keep my mind busy so I don't break down. At 10:00 AM mountain time today my mother passed away peacefully at home. She was 87 this year and has struggled for the past several years with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease caused by many years of smoking. The disease robbed her of the ability to breathe on her own without constant oxygen. I had spoken to her last night and the last words I said to her was "I love you." I guess I can feel fortunate for that. She was a wonderful woman who was kind and giving. She used to take in transients who were passing through and gave them food and money to help them on her way. She was truly a great lady and I will miss her. I am sure you will all understand if I am conspicuously absent for the immediate future.
