Description
I've received a little feedback that several of you would like to see the transportation for the Budweiser Clydesdales that I posted on August 24, 25, 29 and Sep 4, 2008. And I need some bright colors back in my gallery :-)
This is the first truck of three used to transport the entire team from St. Lewis, Missouri to their show destination and back. The second truck is identical. The third truck looks the same but is for carrying the big red beer wagon. The lead two trucks carry four horses each along with tack, grooms, etc.
Together all three trucks make quite a convoy on the road.
Oh, and the Dalmatian rides with the horses in this first truck.
Let's hope that the Belgian/Brazilian beer giant, InBev, who's takeover bid of Anheiser Busch will probably go through, doesn't decide the team is too expensive to maintain. Time will tell.
Thanks for all your helpful and encouraging comments on my recent and past posts.
Bill
Open this to full-size for a better sense of the true proportion of this stretched 18-wheeler.

That is great looking and I have seen some big horsetrailers but none that needed that much power to haul or where that big! I imagine they are very nicely built on the inside as well.
great to know thanks i like the photo******************
Incredible vehicle Bill, great shot of it. Hugs. Di. xx
Wonderful image and fascinating narrative!! Three trucks to carry it all, wow, that's quite an investment! Great shot, Bill, I have enjoyed the Clydesdale images you have posted.
awesome! I Remember seeing this in Hershey, Pennsylvania a while back.
Nice juggernaut there our trucks (lorries) in the uk are toys compared to these LOL..great capture Bill..
It looks like a comfortable way to be on the road and the art work is magnificent.
One (3) cool rig.Where do you park it? anywhere you like sir!.Love the way the chrome reflects the road so it looks like the horses are stepping off the truck. Thanks for a great picture Bill.
Thanks for sharing this photo. I've always wondered what the trucks looked like. Beautifully painted.
Wonderful ! Roby :O)

Outstanding! What a truck! gonna get to an event called truckfest, couplw of miles from here! I'll check out what there next year. But for now, you are the king. All praise the king! Rob
Wow, it looks like the team is going to trot right off the trailer..........beautiful semi as well....thank you for sharing a wonderful image as well as update.
A mighty big truck! Excellent photo to get it all in. Trucks are not allowed to be that big on twisty English roads.
What a fantastic rig. I've been a truck fanatic ever since I saw the film Convoy as a lad. As Alz says our trucks are dull compared to this. Emil.
nice don't see enough big rigs around here......=]
