Description
I am working on a image for my friend Lars and this is part of the reason I am so far behind. This is little Penny and she is a miracle dog. Sunday when I was taking Veronica and the girls shopping we found her in a ditch. Someone had dumped her on a back road and by some miracle I happened to see something move in the ditch as we passed by. I stopped the car and my niece Jade and I went back to look. There we found a small puppy so helpless and crying. Her tail has been hurt and one of her paws is cut. We looked for her Momma and other puppies but couldn't find any. We took her home and put medicine on her wounds, gave her a bath, and named her Penny. She is a loving little dog and it breaks my heart to think someone could dump her. I told a few people about her and they all asked to see a photo so here you go.
Please don't worry about rating or faving this, I just wanted to show you what she looks like :)

Dave, I don't see how anyone could leave a precious puppy like this along side the road. It takes a pretty cold-blooded person to do that. I'm glad you were there to rescue her. I would have named her lucky, because she is lucky you saw her. One time about 10 years ago, I was driving on a trip and saw something in the ditch off to my left, and stopped, backed up and out from the ditch came this pretty dog with white fur with small black spots. She was mostly grown but it was in the summer and extremely hot that day. Luckily I traveled with water in the car so I let her drink a little and then took her home with me. She was a sweet natured, gentle dog.

Dave, there's an old saying that sometimes a creature is abandoned so it can find truly loving people to care for it...and never has that been as true as here. Whoever let Penny go did a service to her; if they couldn't care for her, how opposite a home she has now. Everyone who knows you here knows the love that comes out of you each day, in your posts, your wonderful stories, how you walk with the lives of others, how you present them back with such love, both in your images and in your words; and in your endlessly loving comments in other galleries as well. How could Penny do better? Your loved ones, being your loved ones, will give Penny the same—so I'm happy for Penny! It's a nice shot, she doesn't look too worse for the wear, and I hope she knows how good a home she has. I wish her a wonderful stay with you, and thank you for sharing this with us. It sure hit the spot in my early morning! It's lovely, dave, totally.

You get a 10 plus for rescuing her. She's a darling puppy. The same thing happened to my kitten, and she's been a welcome addition to my home. People can be so cruel to animals and unfortunately it happens more often than we might think. Rescued animals are often so grateful and become loyal friends.
How can you not melt looking at these big, liquid eyes! She is soooo cute!!! You are my hero for seeing her and rescuing her. She will have a wonderful, loving home with you and your family. You will also help by reducing the number of strays when she is neutered. So many unfortunate animals are put down everyday because of overpopulation. Bless you!
