Description
As I rode down the river path to the beach, I passed the HUGE sewer plant (and yeah, you don't take big deep breaths as you pass!!). This is one of three tanks that have who knows what in them. I just liked the different details here~~ the palms trees, the spiral stairs, all against the blue sky.

I love this! So what if it's a sewer plant ... I can't smell it from here. The white tank with the blue sky and palm trees is so dramatic. Nicely seen, and a great shot!
I'm supposed to be sleeping but since I saw this, I'll comment. I love this image. Everything in it is so crisp and wonderfully mixed and matched...the colors are superb as are the shapes and various organic/inorganic textures. In short, this image rocks! It's beautifully seen and the composition works marvelously.
Nice shot. We have the Blue Plains plant here in the DC area which is an open sewer pit. The stench is horrific even with the windows rolled up.
Tanks for the memories?? LOL Cheers, Clive
I sure know the smell of things. Hold your breath...OK? lol. Aloha
Our tanks are as tall but I have noticed they are all very nicely presented as if that makes it all better... LOL Fine shot.
wonderful capture and POV..
WOWW, what a bright blue sky... brilliant.
A study in organic plastics.
great patterns
Very well captured! No matter the structures purpose.
Wonderful composition, and the visual elements are lovely. Smell? What smell? Great capture!
Looks like one of our gas tanks, after all there are a few different kinds of gas. lol. I have climbed to the top of a few of these when a teenager, got caught once, but let off with a warning. Excellent capture Marilyn, a rather exotic setting with the palm trees there. Bravo!!!!!
Cool photo......
awesome capture warm hug, Linda
Full-size, this thing's commanding! I agree the match-up of the stark white tower with the palms & the stairway is powerful: It's beautiful & stark. And if this is a sewer tank, it's the best looking sewer-anything I've ever seen. Think you can import one of these to chicago?
the blue sky really sets this off but i dont think i`d want to climb that spiral staircase to see whats inside :o)..superb shot and composition marilyn mick
Vivid colors and stark light/dark contrast depicted in this remarkable capture, Marilyn! A stairway to the stars, as is often said. Ummmm, I miss your comments in my gallery.
LOL, well the palms don't seem to mind the stench....beautiful shot!
Great shot of a 'smelly' situation...lol
