Description
Yesterday I post a picture of a "European Hornet".
Today one more shot of this imposing creature. Like I say yesterday - I´ve tried to get a clear shot - but there where about 10 of them and my hands where not as calm as possible. Next days I will post one or more pictures of them.
Have a nice weekend and many thanks for all your kind words on my last images.

Good photo. Hornets of any kind deserve respect. I'm not sure I'd have been able to take this photo with ten of them near.
Oh my word, scary when they are close up. Nightmares for me tonight now LOL. Hugz and kisses. Toni.
You did nice shot! EXT! 5
What huge feet!!!! a very intimate pic!
Excellent shot, I was stung by one of these one time, that was painful enough so to hell with ten of them!
Great macro..
Beautiful!
Outstanding macro. The view of the head is most interesting.
when there is that many I would have an unsteady hand also.one does not like you then you can fight it off, but all his friends gets in on the melee and you are in for trouble.excellent detail
a fine detailed shot
great macro! well done capture without the sting. steve
The wings look like Amber-- the fossilized tree resin-- excellent macro-down to the details of the hairs on its body!
