Description
This tree stands double the size of my house and is the first sign of Autumn this year. Autumn as a child meant trips into the Cascade Mountains to hunt mushrooms, gather the beautiful leaves, maybe some berries and fishing. It also meant trips into E.Wenatchee to visit my grandma and grandpa. Gone now are those times but the memories remain as some of the best times in my life. Nat King Cole and many others of that caliber were heard throughout the house from Gran's collections of Time Life Music. So I offer the words of one of those oldies to accompany this beginning of Autumn. Please zoom!

Approaching is one of my favorite times of the year. I've seen a few signs here that autumn is on the way and I'm excided for it to arrive. Thanks for these first autumn colors and sharing a little of your past!!!

Wonderful work, Lynn. Great lyric and picture. It looks a bit like an old maple....think i recognize the beautiful leaf shape. Saw a lot of Maple Bonsai's through my time as a Bonsai artist. Fantastic leaves on all maples. Especially in the autumn.+5
