Many thanks to "flora-crassella" for identifying my unknown insect yesterday
as a Bee fly - Bombylius major. I have another shot of him that I will post one day.
Thanks very much for your views and comments and for looking at this one.

Don't know what this one is but it reminds me of marshmallows on a stick over a camp fire. Interesting capture. Aloha

Great shot:)
What a beautiful shot. Lovely macro.
Wonderful work Maria. Funny - I took a very similar image yesterday of a rosebud - same angle etc. - the first of our Spring!! So as you make ready for autumn, we are in the midst of Spring!! :)
Superb shot, an amazing DOF.
LOVE the DOF here with its diagonal stripes and tone which really sets it off so Beautifully ...
This is really an interesting and attractive photo. I'm curious as to what this plant is, other than marshmallows on a stick. That comment made me chuckle. This would be beautiful framed and placed on a wall with three other pictures depicting the other seasons.
SUPERB ! ! !
Splendid DOF and tones ;O)
A very good job you have made of Autumn's Palette Maria, the background is as good as the fore ground, each complimenting the other. Absolutely superb work. Bravo!!!!!
