Description
Nikon 7900 pocket camera, hand-held image.
I posted an image of a Gulf Fritillary Caterpillar on Aug 25. It was one of the very few I had seen this year. About 2 days later, I found 2 Chrysalis that had been formed very close to where I found the
caterpillar.
I brought them inside and 11 days later they emerged. I managed to get a few pics. Here is the first of this series.

I bet you have a window sill full of hatching and morphing bugs! LOL Great shot. I have a shot of some sort of what I think is a fritillary butterfly but haven't IDed it yet.
beautiful photo! Make me happy to see these exceptional “things” with you!
Great macro. I like to see the imago of this butterfly.
I can see a little old man in a cloak hanging by the point of a tall hat. You can see where the old childrens book illustrators got their ideas! Superb shot as ever.
Wonderful capture, excellent well done..
Excellent! Glad you found them, looking forward to the other photos.

Wow, that is so cool! Wonderful image, can't wait to see the rest!
I can see the same thing as Andrea, with her little old man. Interesting to have two so close together Lee, its almost like a mirror image. Excellent detail. Bravo!!!!!
