Description
this is in Lipa City,Batangas,Philippines.I took the picture from the San Sebastian Cathedral, Lipa City and I was at the top of the bell tower in 2000. this is facing the North and Manila is about 45 miles to the North East

Lipa City was destroyed by Mount Pinatubo but rebuilt in the current location. The city's location, in a valley located between two mountains - Mount Malarayat and Mount Makulot - makes it a low risk area. These two mountains serve as a wind breaker in times of typhoon. Mount Makulot at the western portion also served as shield of the city in times of eruption of Taal Volcano.
this is where I stayed on the 4 trips to the Philippines.the climate is much better than Manila. in the evening it is very pleasant
I took it with a small camera and scanned the picture.I would have loved to of had a digital camera with me but I did not
