Description
A close in view of a nebula colliding with a planet in the outer reaches of the universe.
This render grew out of my previous posting.
The nebula was created with the addition of a ground plane, applying a cloud mat and then numerous radial lights with gels.
The planet was resurfaced using two overlapping spheres...one with the Uranus mat and the top layer is the Selene mat with increased bump.
Not very difficult to construct, but a horrendous 7 hour render time.
Lens flares and frame PW with PhotoScape 3.01

Oooh! Love this Keith! Superb colour!
Fantastic and creative image...bravissimo!V:DDD.Hugsxx
A very amazing and splendid work Keith!!!!! Fantastic
You've created exactly what we think of when we see pictures of nebulas and so on. But adding in a planet like this gives it lots more dimension and depth. Excellent, Keith! I bet you held your breath that the render would match your expectations. Previews in Bryce aren't much cop are they? (And again I'll let you off that lens flare!) Dave
IMPRESSIVE...!
Most of the nebulae I know of are millions of kilometers across, which makes the planet HUGE! Think of the G-forces! Great image.
Nice, Keith. A very striking image!
Super work well done!
Excellent composition, Keith!
Great concept and render Keith...lighting works very convincingly, and the surface mats tie in nicely...well worth the seven hour wait!
Fantastic use of bryce! Excellent!
Fantastic work and like the thinking outside the box concept of how you did this.
WOW!!!! Great render!!! Very beautiful!!!!
Ditto---WOW!!! Fantastic colors, zoom is awesome!!
7 hours, that's some mammoth render time Keith but well worth it judging by the final outcome. A massive sense of scale and marvellous nebulae colouring. Fabulous work. Tony.
Great work, K. Fantastic Bryce scenario. Great composition. Love the light from the collissions... looks amazing through the clouds. 7 hours.. would prolly take my 2002 hardware, and Bryce 6.1... ...a week to do a render like this:)
What great Bryce work! Just lovely.
