I just got home from a funeral for a good friends mom, to come across this. The pic is apt and very emotive, I've loved your works since the day I first discovered them a year ago. Not only are you incredibly talented, but apparently a very good friend who perhaps can care almost too much about too many at once. I was going to say that your only human, but seeing the quality of your work, on pretty much a daily basis.....I sometimes wonder if you ever sleep. As much as it bites, dying is as much a part of life as living itself. I've also noticed that the older I get, the more people I know seem to be sick and or dying. My own father being one of these, I would've bet he didn't make the end of August....but then he is a stubborn old poop, and still holding on. Hang in there Deane, time has a way of healing deep wounds. I can't say that things will get better,...just be different. We need to learn to appreciate what we have now, and love those who matter now, for life is too short, and no one knows what amount they have left. You have many friends here who care for you, and share your pain. I love this place and these people, I'll tip a beer for you and your mate tonight, and hope the despair passes soon.

Hang in there Deane. Right now you both need each other. My sincerest condolences. I am truly sorry for your loss. You are right when you say that life is no dress rehearsal. I learned that a while ago. The only thing I can say is that "This to shall Pass" The pain and hurt will never go away, but it does get a little better. Keep her memory alive, she is probably watching over the two of you with a smile on her face. I always like to think that they are in a better place. I tell you this from personal experience. Maybe one day I'll share my story. I don't know what your faith is or if you have one, nonetheless I will place you, your mate, and of course Sharon in my prayers.

Everyone has to take a break for a while, especially during at times like this. I'm sorry to hear about your mates partner death. I wish you all the best wishes. Be careful on the drinking part, I've seen to many bad things that happen when you drink to much. Take some time off, get a breath of fresh air, and when your ready come on back. I'll.. no we'll miss your work you've been a true inspiration to us all. Take care and hope to see you back when your ready.
