very nice thistle; In my region, we have thistles too and they are famous in my country
wow, this is really nice. Excellent colors!
Really excellent macro!
I've seen cows eat this stuff. Not sure why they would want to. Does not look that appetizing to me. Maybe it tastes better than it looks - if you are a cow! Excellent!
This is an amazing shot of the development of the seed head. Good focus and pov.
excellent shot! WEll done
Super!
Brilliant! The black parts look like bugs. Sharp and fascinating capture!
absolut wonderful !!!!!!!!!!
You know I was thinking just like Optiramma, the black does look like many legged bugs of some sort. Excellent capture Aled, superb clarity and detail, zoom is a must to see this fully. I am wondering what happened to your butterfly though. Excellent work. Bravo!!!!!
Wonderful details! Great light and perfect focus.
Nice macro, Aled. There's a lot of detail now apparent. I used to see a lot of thistles in my Gran's fields. Many were taller than me, the classic Scottish variety, but I never saw any of the dairy cows ( Irish ) eating them... ;o) I have seen thistle soup being prepared on a cooking program, but having tried thistle tea, I think I'll give it a miss.. Warm regards from an autumnal Glasgow, John.
