Description
Chiari ni Porchielit is hiding and waiting at Krindi Spaceport. Krindi is the main port of entry for Anders II. Chi's homeworld, Serendi is far up the galaxy's arm from here. She's been fitfully sleeping behind stacks of freight, existing on junk food from vending machines for two of Torkay's long days and nights. She has been reduced to rationing her food purchases as she is rapidly running out of credits.
Chiari ni Porchielit is the last surviving member of the late Emperor Sharkit IV's family. On her homeworld, Serendi, the military has overthrown her uncle and massacred everyone in her family, except for herself. It seems like it all happened a long time ago,but it has only been two local weeks. For Chi, it seems as if she has been hiding and running all her life.
"For all the rest of my life," Chi grimly reminds herself. This far from home, she ought to be safe, but she knows that's not the case. Even now, agents working for the generals are searching Anders II for her. Chi is waiting for a Earther male, who is supposed to be her contact on this world. She has no idea what an Earther looks like other than it would "appear similar to her own race"--meaning humanoid. Chi constantly fretted that her contact may have come and gone and she simply hadn't recognized him.
According to her instructions, the contact was to have contacted her within two hours of her arrival at the Port; however, it has been several days. Chi is exhausted, hungry, and scared. She can't stay anywhere for very long. If the Earther doesn't show up soon, she will have to strike out on her own--a terrifying prospect. No choice, though. She's already lingered here for way too long. Yet if she goes, she will have broken the fragile chain of support that has gotten her this far.
How much longer can I wait? Chi wonders. And will I even recognize him if I see him?

Nice story and good sci-fi dock scene. Be nice to see more of it. Go Space Opra!
Cool characters. Very good scene and render.
cool scene, reminds me a little of the work of Jim Burns scifi artist this sort of thing would have no trouble making a book cover, very nice

Great fantasy nice light.. -=- btw The milestone will be 09-09-09 :D
Wow, this is a little different from your more bucolic images. Very sci-fi. It has that paperback cover art look to it, you know where the hero/heroine is standing around or sitting in front of some sci-fi infrastructure. The story sounds cool. Maybe a Jedi will happen along and guide her. :)
Splendid work
I like this one very much....excellent work on her expression.....
