Description
The middle of August isn't the best time to take pictures of flowers around here! Everything is green and beautiful, but there isn't a lot in bloom. This hosta was the only plant in the entire Japanese Garden that had even a single flower. (Of course you know if there's even ONE, I'll find it and take a picture!)

Beautiful photo !! ... my hosta's are done blooming here. Too bad they are so short-lived...
So THAT'S what a hosta flower looks like! This is a lovely shot!
Fine clarity depicted and lovely soft mauve colors radiate in this excellent macro of the hosta with the mosta! Interesting hooked stamen, also. Actually, I never heard of this species of flower before, which isn't that unusual for me.
You have made this flower look so lovely as they aren't really very showy usually. A beautiful capture.
Yes, but SO worth finding! Great shot!
Of course you will, but only PART of it, right??!! I don't think I realized hostas even HAD blooms, so this is even more beautiful for me!
This is such a delightful shot. You have really captured the delicateness of this flower. Beautiful work!!!
wonderful!
Lovely! I think the casual droop of the hosta is refreshing.
Wonderful photo! :)
A beautiful photo, and now I know what a hosta looks like :)

Not something many people even notice, so a lovely surprise! I'd never looked at the buds till I saw your pic!

Excellent color and close up detail, indeed well worth capturing. Sad to know your winter is approaching, but good news for us.

Fantastic macro Tara and this centring is excellent!
Lovely bloom Tara and I am glad you found it :))))
Short life span eh, so it's Hosta la vista baby :)...Joking aside, this is a very wonderful piece Tara, the DOF is quite exquisite, well done dear!
Really nice find and capture. I hope this little bit of rain will give us some nice fall colors. Maybe you can visit the gardens again in fall.
