Description
While I was grubbing around in the dirt the other day, I came across this baby lizard. I had never seen one this small before.
His body was only an inch long, and his tail about another inch. He's probably a Texas Spiny Lizard or a Tree Lizard, I'm not sure.
He was safely let go after I took this one handed macro. Thanks for looking and thanks for your kind comments on my recent images.

What a gorgeous macro indeed. I like lizards very much.
Splendid macro!!!
Wonderful shot, and isn't everything cuter when it's a baby?
Awesome capture!

Awwww, the cute. I'm surprised you didn't run off screaming like a lot of women I know at the sight of this little guy! I always tell them "Your a thousand times bigger than they are!". Very kewl shot! Aloha~
Really an amazing macro, great!!
So I'm assuming while you garden you still have your camera close by so you can capture such shots as this. I guess that is a sign of a true photographer. He really is cute, and quite pretty. What a treat for you to see one so small.
Amazing shot.....excellent work !!!
He looks like a miniture prehistoric creature. Amazing one handed macro.
the enhanced view is spectacular!! RS
So small! Great close up :)
What a cutie Maria! I use to catch these critters as a kid! My favorite was a Horny Toad! ;)

Excellent close up detail and even cute. Hard to believe they are starting out so small.
He is too cute, and must have been a patient little fellow - what a fun capture (and release:)

Terrific macro! He's so cute! I keep hoping to run across a garter snake out back but no luck yet. I wonder if its a baby or adult...

so tiny and lovely, looks very friendly, excelent close up and pottrait.
Occasionally we bump into hatchling blue bellies and they are always so delicate looking, like this. I is obviously not long out of the egg. Stunning view of this tiny creature.
What a cutie! We have a few scurrying around my complex or on the walls. Excellent shot. Bunny
kewel!
How sweet! A fantastic capture!
I see some kind of lizard here that looks like dead flesh color that is very tiny also.sometimes they manage to get into the house, but I take them out right away.after their initial fright, they are quicker than a greased lightning exceptional one "finger" macro
