I slept in my car in 1984 at Seal Rock. The sound of the seals barking and the waves crashing had accompaniment from the beacon on the lighthouse sweeping through the interior of the station wagon. California 1 is a home run for me.

For us, here in northern california, Monterey area is central coast. We tend to divide the state in 3rds. :-) But I do see this as much the same as San Louis Obispo and that area. Beautiful place and lovly shot.

The California coast, oh do I love it, every single step--I'm on the WAY north end of it; PJ's right, this is the middle of the state; I'm 250 miles NORTH of SF and there are nearly 100 MORE miles of coastline!! But, no matter, this is still beautiful, as is the entire coastline!!
