Description
I thought my gallery needed some color for a change and decided to upload this image I took a couple of weeks ago while visiting my granddaughter. I tried the backlight thing with a little postwork on Photoshop.
I am dedicating it to Santa (santa29klaus) whom I have met for the first time this past weekend in Bloemfontein. Santa - here's to friendship and loads of chatting over bottles of wine!!! Thank you for your effort to come and meet me and good luck with your challenges!!!
I am feeling better on the second batch of antibiotics and still working myself to the bone at the office and at home. Please be patient with me for not commenting as much as I would love to.
Thanks for popping in and for your valued comments on this image as well as my previous uploads.
Hugs, Carin xx

Wonderful compo and POV! Thanks!
...sehr schöne Gegenlichtaufnahme von dieser wundervollen Rose!
Very well done. 5+.
This is really quite lovely. And I can't believe it's in the twenties already. Time flies, but maybe it seems not so fast for you two.
Lovely image with very nice light! Nice work Carin!
Pragtig...Hugs
Fantastic back lighting makes the flower come alive in the dreamy cloak. I wish I were a fly to eavesdrop on those conversations, lol!
Lovely
Beautiful! I love the way you framed this :-)
beautiful!
Beautiful rose...
fantastic shot and post work... well done
Wonderful colors and light. Excellent and very beautiful shot!
Very nice rose and light. Great POV !
It took me almost 2 months to get my strength back after a bout of chronic bronchitis so be patient with yourself. :-) This is a very lovely backlit rose. It glows. Makes the petals look magical. BTW, I am such a nut for colors and color combinations that before I post each photo to my galler, I will pop up the top half of it and view it as a whole. I check to see what colors are overdone on the page or what colors need to be added to keep over all visual appeal and interest when someone might pop in to look. Then I go to my "holding" file and choose what looks like it will fit best. :-)
Wonderfull POV... a reat capture my friend!
That sure is one fine rose presented in excellent fashion Carin. Great capture!
A beautiful rose, lovely capture again Carin xx
Wow Carin! This is so beautiful and romantic with the backlight! Splendid capture! and postwork! So nice to know you are feeling better too!!! (((C)))
Fantastic composition and POV,super work.
Quite nice! Excellent work
Lovely work Carin, the backlighting is excellent and the framing very tasteful
Oh my. IMHO, this is easily the most beautiful, wonderful, stunning shot in your gallery! Of course I'm a bit partial to flowers, roses in particular, backlighting, and non-centered compositions. Red is a tough capture, and you did a fantastic job! So ... I love every single thing about this shot. Beautiful! Congrats on reaching the 20s! :)
Great macro, considering the capricious red color, Carin, and fabulous backlighting! I always resort to Photoshop when I do red roses, a variety of which I try to keep at a minimum in my gallery. Incidentally, just finished my regimen with two different types of antibiotics, taken concurrently. It did help a bit, but really no fun. I have putting that stuff in my system, but really the best alternative.
I was going to ask what about Bruce? but you answered that question. Superb shot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Very beautiful!!! Splendid POV!!
Stunning shot, I love this!
Agree with auntiek entirely...! A beauty, by any name, of course! :)
OMG! Gorgeous capture!
Oh, sigh, this is simply wonderful, every part of it!! And wow, it's getting close, how truly exciting!!
