Description
Back to Bryce, today. The bridge structure and arches was constructed with Bryce primitives...albeit, getting the first grouping of objects aligned the way I wanted was quite a task. After connecting and linking them, it was a breeze.
Finding just the right surface mats for the bridge was another bit of a chore as I wanted to achieve the very old, crumbling look of a structure which has been battered by time and water.
The wave action in the water was accomplished by duplicating the water plane and adding a cloud mat to it.
Enjoy and thanks for viewing and commenting.

Very well done and realistic.
Wonderful!! It looks like one of the old stone bridges on the back roads in South Africa!!Love the water and the realism.
Excellent composition and very realistic image!!! Great work!!!
beautiful work, Keith warm hug, Linda
Beautiful work.
A nice mood goes with this bridge, Keith. Realistic renders and tight modeling are one thing, but adding an interesting mood or an atmosphere alone can really tell, or suggest a story. Here we can imagine all kinds of brooding scenarios. Well done.
Fantastic image, very well done, and obviously, it took a lot of effort to get it done!
wonderful pov work!
A bridge to somewhere interesting; one I'd like to walk across--your image invites that, makes it so appealing!!
Excellent work!!!!!!
Very nice scene. Great looking bridge! Very well done.
Excellent POV and composition!!! Great modeling!!!
I agree 100% with Miska7 :D Very ultra well done my friend. Thanks so much also for your comment on my latest Abstract; had a bit of a chore bringing myself to post that bugger ;-) I agree
Perfect bridge for a few hundred orcs to be crossing to be held at bay by an elite squad of amazon warriors... Seriously, Keith, this is one of the trickiest and to my mind best renders I've seen for some time. And as Peter just said, its that atmosphere that you add that makes it extra special. How you set all these planes up in Bryce is beyond me, and all credit to you for that spatial awareness that I reckon is the key to Bryce (visualising how all those planes will turn out before they actually do) I think I'll stick to amazon warriors!
Very COOL Brycing
Excellent!
Excellent and a very realistic image.
It´s splendid and very realisitic Keith!!! Fantastic
Fabulous modelling Keith and you have achieved that 'old and crumbling' look. One can only imagine how many thousands of animals and people have used that bridge to cross over those waters. Great looking terrain work as well. Sure is a wondeful view and I like the way the plants are encroaching over the path at the bridge entrance. Tony :-)
Good work..Fantastic perspective of the landscape...!
wow! your work gets more photogenic with every piece you create! this one is amazing!! ;)
this is wonderful made. got mood and look like a army cam march across this bridge
Looks so realistic! Fantastic image!
wow - Great shaping that bridge and the terrains and thank you very much for what you did with the water. I have been so frustrated with the few images I have done in Bryce with water. That looks great.
Very wonderful water effects Keith :-) what a creative idea to use cloud material for the water!!! and about your bridge work, I know how it is when it comes to correct alignment! you did a great job buddy! Have a nice night :]
