Description
One must remember that it was not until Darth Bane that the Rule of Two was established for the Sith, for millenia there were any number of them loose in the galaxy.
One such pair were Darth Malana and her miraluka apprentice, Synn. For a brief time these two attempted to rebuild the Sith Academy on Korriban, and were known for their ability to bombard the minds of their victims with dark psychic visions in combat, distracting them.
Malana's species is not known, but Synn's miraluka origins, a nearly extinct species who could only see through a special force sight, led to their ultimate downfall.
It is said that the Miraluka Jedi Master Visas Marr, one of the reconstructionist Masters who tutored under the Exile, discovered this pair while trying to find the last remnants of her race.
Although knowing it would lead to the extinction of her race, she destroyed them both to prevent their rise to prominance. This was made even more difficult by Malana's insinuation that she was half-Miraluka, engineered by the late Darth Traya using the DNA of Visas Marr and Darth Nihilus. Nihilus was Visas' Sith Master before she turned to light.
As none of these events were ever recorded in a holocron, they remain just half-heard legends. It is believed that Master Visas had no inclination to relate the full details of her adventures.
