Description
I was standing on the bridge at Deception Pass (Whidbey Island, Washington) and looked across to this view. It gives you and idea of how huge Puget Sound really is; I had no idea till I saw it; it goes on forever and ever!! And this is just one small part of it.
The link shows you the bridge as I looked back at it--I was standing on the left about, not too far from the other end. It was VERY windy, and every time a car went by,the bridge kinda shuddered. I didn't stay there too long!!

Looks a bit familiar....HEY! I was there too! Great shot you've got here!
OHHHH this is lovely one....got the bluez happening again love that...and the fancy fencing really gives it interest depth and contrast..very nice shot!!
It's a little freaky, isn't it? Yikes!
Beautiful view
Like the scenic view of this.... Excellent.. Aloha
You achieved great depth with this shot Marilyn, from this view I would love to explore Puget Sound in a boat. Sailing round the coast line taking lots of phot's of the fore shore of course. Excellent capture, wonderful scenic view. Bravo!!!!!
Beautiful view!!! :)
beautiful!
Beautiful and breathtaking vista you have captured. Your narrative regarding the bridge shuddering is reminiscent of the "galloping Gerty" collapse decades ago near Tacoma...again, from the wind and poor design.
beautiful view
Amazing!
wonderful !
Hey Marilyn, this is really good, love the long view. Living on an island as I do, I see it daily!
lovely looking place
love to be standing there beautiful capture warm hug, Linda
A momentous and thrilling experience, to be savored forever. Terrific DOF and sharp clarity in this capture, Marilyn! The railing contrasts well against the soft blue sea.
That is so beautiful and peaceful here.
