I have been aboard one of these before, in San Diego in fact, they are amazing.. great shot!! and YAH another one from California :)
This is a great shot that really shows me the size of her. A powerful ship and it raises the level of pride in our ability to protect our troups with the finest equipment. I would love to tour such a ship someday.
Very impressive capture and thanks for the informations! Wonderful :)
Sig, This is so impressive! I love it! An amazing ship! I am so glad it was turned into a museum instead of just scrapped! A breathtaking photo! Thanks so much for sharing it! Lea
I've never been on an aircraft carrier. The closest I ever came was to the Intrepid in Nerw York. I was thinking this was the Lexington an Essex class carrier used for training at Pensacola.
excellent image!
This is like an island all by itself. Huge ship. Nice size comparison. Aloha
Awsome - Floating Cities they are also called. What is surprising for her size is the carriers are very fast craft, they are just rarely ever called upon to go at that speed.
If you are looking for interesting images go to Sig gallery! :)
All the elements of scale are present, and well presented!
