Description
I thought I would stay with the bridge theme by placing the image of this little bridge photographed in Central Park, New York during my last visit in March 2007. It is always difficult for me, when walking in Central Park, to comprehend that I am in this huge city. The park is so vast and so beautiful!
This little bridge is quite well known and has featured in many movies. A Canadian friend of mine and his wife actually got married on this little bridge!!!
Thank you for your very valued comments on this image as well as my previous upload and thank you for understanding my lack of time for commenting...
Hugs, Carin xx

when I went to NYC, I never went to the park. beautiful place.at least I was able to visit the WTC before 911
Lovely shot!
Nice bridge. It reminds me of a bridge on the Paseo del Rio in San Antonio, Texas. Great shot
As I said previously: bridges hold a very symbolic value for me and very significant that this one is built with solid rock. The elegant curves having that romantic touch. This NY, is it bigger than Potch?
What a serene atmosphere, wonderful composition!!
Fantastic POV Carin, I have only ever seen pictures of this bridge and the first time I saw a photo I could only imagine it being miles from any civilisation ! Beautiful, really!
Excellent capture!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
beautiful place and so peaceful shot.
Oh Carin, this lighting is splendid and such superb bridge!
Fantastic composition and wonderful capture.
lovely shot
I can picture what this would look like in the Fall with lots of coloured leaves on the poor bare trees. Excellent POV too
Beautiful photo!
The Bridge on the River Kwai, part II. Splendid POV employed and fine clarity in the capture of the bridge, foliage, background and avians lolling about in the placid waters, Carin.
wonderful work... it is something to be in the city and to have this in the middle of a busy place. i am going to the city on sat.. going to the metropolitan museum.
Wonderful capture Carin, I love the romantic feel to this one! One day I am going to get to Central Park! I've heard so much about it I have to see it myself! Sorry about the noisy cricket:-)
What a great shot. I can see why it's such a popular place! Don't freak out ... he isn't coming to make sure you've got everything done that you wanted to do! I think all you have to do is show up. :)
Beautiful bridge shot - and it's not like the end of the world is coming, it's just your man, and he'll be happy just to be with you!
Excellent capture!
Tara's got it just right, he won't care if you show up in you pj's, actually he'd probably LOVE that!! Great shot, BTW!!
lol and hugs to Denise, Tara and Marilyn!!!! You guys made me so much more relaxed about Bruce's arrival!!! Knowing me, I'll probably need a couple more talks like this before I leave for the airport on Sep 5th!!!
It looks like an autumn day in the park with the naked trees and few people. Still the birds seem to have found the quiet to be to their liking. I understand how you feel...after a long drum roll you are about to hear the cymbal. The creshendo builds until the heart pounds with the fast-approaching standing ovation. :-) I'm so happy for you both! Oh, and again, I do love this capture. :-)
Excellent capture Carin.
Welldone, I like the trees framing the top. Cheers, Clive
Picturistique!!! Wow - awesome... hope to c u over the weekend!
Never been there, but when I saw the photo, I thought: "CENTRAL PARK ... naahhhhh ... Carin lives in SA .... not possible!!" But hey ... somehow I managed to be right!! Excellent fall photo. The framing, POV and lines are splendid. The placement of the swan in the front balances it all out. Very, very well done!
